sneaked (snuk?) into spudnik press last night before the ice storm and finished some prints. some photos and scans. two sets of prints, boxer and conversations. boxer was pretty straightforward. i knew what i wanted and with some minor flaws still came out ok. i printed on both paper and chipboard.
the conversations piece i altered a bit, adding more spectres of the walking figure to some, leaving others alone so each print is different. some examples below.

new painting. goauche. paper. ink.
it may not be overally obvious but subtlety is important to me. i don’t like pointing things out in the work. the IV here seems like overkill, an intentional pointing to, a nudge. normally i would have left that out and had the figure and the birds but i was talking to my friend melissa earlier (a great artist who i could link to here IF she had a website, ahem) about chemotherapy and its side effects and it affected the work. everything affects the work but tonite it came through differently.
